A family-friendly acrobatic–culinary show performed in its own big top, celebrating both traditional and contemporary circus. This humorous solo takes place in an acrobat’s kitchen, where the audience is invited to enjoy a generous serving of fun and the aroma of freshly baked gingerbread. The performer’s ring is furnished with a cupboard, a pantry, a table, and chairs, and amid it all, he keeps himself fit. He stretches, balances objects, navigates heights, and moves with playful ease and lightness. The generous host offers a rich menu of circus skills, serving each “course” through acts woven into everyday activities, preparing refreshments included. The show’s sole protagonist spins not only with a wooden spoon and around teacups, but also reveals himself as an outstanding balancer, a master of handstands, and an endearing clown.
The original project, Teacrobat, tells the story of a grand circus dream: to have a big top of one’s own. The production received the Den Danske Cirkuspris in Denmark and was also nominated for the Thalia Awards 2024 in the category of alternative theatre.
