Two members of Pussy Riot ended up in the harshest prison in Siberia, merely for attempting to perform a protest song in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. In this production, we return to the story and uncover various historical and cultural contexts.

Who is the heretic? Pussy Riot, risking their lives in the struggle for a better society? Or Putin, exploiting religion for his own purposes?

The backbone of this musical-dramatic composition is a litany in which Pussy Riot turn to the Mother of God, asking her to help them fulfil their dreams of a better history. Alongside this, other musical genres and forms of political language alternate and intertwine.
